There
are varieties of yoga traditions found in ancient to modern times. Some of the
major schools of Yoga are Hatha Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Raja Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Karma
Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Tantra Yoga, Integral Yoga etc.

Vivekanada has said at one place as why there are so many path for
realization? Because there are different kinds of people in the world, because
there are different kinds of attitudes, there are different kinds of
psycho-physical constituents, these enable them to pursue the path with matching
their ability and potential.
The
above argument can be rephrased with following points –

highest within, i.e. Self Discovery, which is awakening Human Potential
